Choosing therapy

As individuals, we see the world from the inside-out, through our own lens. When trouble hits, we can feel lost and unable to navigate as we once could. Therapy is a powerful way to experience yourself, your life, and the world from the outside-in. As a therapist, my goal is not to change you but to enhance and strengthen the person you already are.

The type of therapy I offer is truly tailored to who you are and what you need. Please see below for common questions and answers about therapy and the type of work we can do together.

Having a good match is crucial in therapy, there has to be that common ground and “click” between a client and their therapist. I encourage people considering therapy to find a few therapists that seem like a good fit and interview them. Don't be afraid to ask a therapist about their experience, education, the type of treatment they offer, and if they're licensed. Also, it's important to get a sense of how a therapist believes people get better and specifically, how they can help you. This information will give you a good idea of whether or not you click with that therapist. If you click, that connection and trust will be the beginning to the great work you can do with that therapist. I invite you to call me for a free phone consultation to see if the type of treatment I provide is a good fit for you.
